ATHEISM FROM THE AFRICAN REALITY!

Image
THREE TYPICAL STORIES IN NIGERIA (*** True Stories ***) A lady was recommended for a job in Canada. Her flight ticket was paid and she went for the interview, got to the interview venue and sat with the others. The interviewers saw her and somehow they were disgusted at her. She was chewing gum complacently. They summarily dismissed her and sent her back. A day later the man who recommended her gave her a call asking why she misbehaved at the interview hall. She was shocked at the query and asked him how. He recounted that the interviewers called him and reported that she was uncouth, chewing gum. She lamented that she never chewed gum. Infact, she was fasting prior to the interview and had been so for a week to the D-day. She has never been known to chew gum. (Village people at work) A man has been looking for job for a while. He went for an interview in Lagos and he performed so well that the Project Manager noted him and even gifted him several face masks. They promis...

BOOSTER FRIENDS!

Image
Just a short one from a message I just heard that blessed me: Not everybody you come across is meant to rise with you. Just like a booster system for a rocket, some people are meant to boost you to a certain height and then break away. DO NOT HOLD ON TO THEM. Use the momentum and move on. They have fulfilled their purpose in your life. People often forget that we are all on different journies moving at different speeds to different locations for different purposes on different schedules. IT'S RIDICULOUS TO COMPARE YOUR PROGRESS WITH ANOTHER. If you must compare or compete, do so with your history. Try to be better than you were and reach higher than you have! God bless you. - E. I. WISEN UP!

Image
Hello guys,  Here is a little something that I have been mulling for a while now about my generation! . . . My generation ... The jet age people ... Millenials, some are called ... . . . . . Smart children, born from the overcompensation of determined parents.  Parents who were born poor and swore their children must live rich... Parents who suffered grievous harm and swore to show their children gentleness ... Parents who bore the yoke of religious ignorance and swore to gift their children the liberty of the mind ... Parents who toiled to escape poverty so that their children would laze in wealth ... . . . . . You see, these kids know alot and will not be lead.  They refuse to be yoked and so run in their illuminated sense right into oblivion.  . . . When my generation believes there is NO God, they insult the intelligence of millions of their forebears who have had encounters with God! When...

YES OR NO?

Image
Hello parents, Apologies for the brief hiatus! Sometimes one needs a break to regain strength and insight. Let me relay a brief conversation that I had with my son today. (He is four). So I just got them home from school and was making some on-demand chocolate bread. He walks up to me in the kitchen and quizzes: Wisdom: Daddy? Me: hmm? Wisdom: Are you hot? Me: hmmmmm Wisdom (exasperated): Yes or No? Me: uhhmmm Yes, Yes I am. Wisdom: Okay, you can use the fan in my room. Me. ??? What got me was the weird expression he had on when he asked "Yes or No?" Just then I remember hearing my wife scold them when they answer with unintelligible words (hmmmm, ahh, ...) This reminded me that kids do not only imitate our actions but also our words and way of speaking. He felt it was per-the-course to insist that I use the right words (Yes or No). This is to encourage all parents (especially mothers): DO NOT STOP TALKING! DO NOT ST...

THE ESSENCE OF GENDER PRIDE IN MARRIAGE (FOR MARRIED COUPLES)

Image
Hello friends,  Here are some words of wisdom to meditate on in preparation for 2020 marital bliss.  The coined phrase "gender pride" refers to the innate pride one feels in his gender as a result of attaining a certain status or achieving a certain goal.  For instance, it is the pride a lady feels when she takes in and puts-to-bed. You hear them say things like, "I am finally a woman". The same thing also occurs in a man.  Gender pride also comes to play in cases of achievement. When a young man has been able to attain a level of wealth or independence, he said to become a man. Funny enough the same is also said of a boy who gains wealth at a young age.  Today, I will be touching on the importance of protecting the essence of gender pride in our marriage. Often times we neglect this issue for varied reasons. One, we may not even realize that it is an issue. Two, we disregard it in the face of westernization and illuminating educat...

CHECK THEIR PHONES:

Image
"A parent recently checked his daughters' phone spontaneously only to save her from a potential kidnapper. His daughter was chatting with a man with a fake account, and nefarious intentions. She had agreed to meet the man at the mall and she was not going to tell her parents." The right of the child is something everyone should be passionate about but I've noticed of recent that the discourse has become ridiculous and meaningless.  Talk about people seriously debating on the right of the child to gender determination, absolute privacy, and personality formation.  IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ADULT PARENT to:  Give birth to the child. No child can be consulted on whether or not he/she wants to be born. That is the sole prerogative of the parents.  Provide for the child. The limitations of the parents also binds the child. It's ridiculous to separate the welfare of the parent from the child.  Form the child's' character. Parents ...

HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE

Image
An unhealthy lifestyle will raise your blood pressure over time. And the higher your blood pressure becomes, the higher your risk of having a stroke or heart attack in the future. But the good news is that if you have high blood pressure, healthy changes will help to bring it down. And you don't have to wait until you have high blood pressure to make healthy lifestyle changes. The more you can reduce your blood pressure, the lower your risk of a heart attack or stroke will be. 1. Blood Pressure Diet - Eat less salt Too much salt raises your blood pressure, so it is important to eat as little as possible. In fact, some people with high blood pressure may be able to avoid blood pressure medicines by cutting down on salt. Most of the salt you eat is not what you add to your food, but is in prepared foods like bread, breakfast cereals and ready meals. Don’t add salt to food when cooking or at the table. When shopping for food, check the labels and choose low-s...
