IDENTITY CRISIS

That is what I see affecting our youths these days.
Sorry if I'm sounding too serious today, but I woke up with a need. A need to scream. How can you be 35 going 40 and you still have not figured out who you are? I mean, when will you start LIVING?

The period of ADOLESCENCE is defined by Wikipedia as "the period following the onset of puberty during which a young person develops from a child into an adult." This is the period that a young adult determines who he/she is. Character, personality, traits, dreams, principles ...
I see a crop of ADULTS who NEVER experienced that period (formed their personality).
So:
  • We have big babies with no clue as to who they are or why they are where they are. 
  • We have loads of people that follow blindly, political leaders who themselves are blind. 
  • We have Senior Pastors who do not even know the basic principles of the faith they preach. 
  • Doctors who do not understand the meaning or of their Hippocratic Oath. 
  • We have a lot of men and women without scruples. 
  • Finally we have young adults who do not have a stand on anything. Nothing at all.
Ask them:
"What is your take on LBGT's?" no clue
"What is your basic principle in life?" no clue
"What is your dogma - your motto that drives you?" gunners 4 life 
"Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?" In money
"What is your take on ethnic segregation & self determination?" I'm a party man.
"What is your take on child marriage?" what will be, will be
e.t.c.

These are the kind of people we've put in places of leadership and sensitive positions (responsibilities). People who will hail a kidnapper openly. People who will only fight in defense of a popular / rich figureheads rather than defenseless women.and children.
So, somebody comes along and actually assumes to tell you about your own faith. Schooling you on the right way to call "Jesus" and you idiotically follow. Is it your faith or his? Did you believe or not? After all these years, with all your testimonies, all the miracles you saw and experienced while using the "wrong name" you can still deny him at the drop of a hat, abi?
It's frightening how quickly people can throw away core beliefs that you think has formed their life because somebody told them that what they've known as black is now white. And the reasoning is, if it has popular approval, then it must be right! Right?!?

Seriously? No wonder the world is turning upside down?
  1. Lesbianism / Homosexuality is OKAY now. (I heard Germany has joined the band wagon). "love wins" hmmm (As is Love is about sex.) SEX IS NOT LOVE, even the prostitutes will tell you that!
  2. Fraud is permissible as long as you are not caught or exposed!
  3. Rituals and spirit-ism is allowed in Christianity. All that matters is the result, right?
  4. Law makers break thesame laws they promulgate by marrying under-aged girls.
  5. Female and child soldiers are now a modern necessity. Dare talk about protecting your women /children and you'll be seen as a social deviant of the dark ages.
But why not? Isn't life about freedom? 
Freedom to kill if you want to!
Freedom to practice to the limit every unnatural acts depraved minds can fathom.
Freedom to determine your gender.
Freedom to subjugate others at will.
Freedom to sell your body parts (dead or alive).
Freedom to decimate others that do not follow your religion.

A LOT OF PEOPLE DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHO THEY ARE ANYMORE?
OR
WHAT THEY STAND FOR!
A society with no values, no morals, no limits! At what point is something wrong. People are slaughtered in hundreds without any tear being shed for them or memorials set-up or justice sought! No value to human life! Is this the heritage we want to leave for the upcoming generation?
Here is a plea to whoever is reading this post, BE STRONG ON YOUR PRINCIPLES.
Don't do something because others are doing it!
Don't join the band wagon!
Make up your own mind!
Don't be a flake or a fluke!

Being REAL is being able to answer explicitly with more than your identifier when asked the simple question: WHO ARE YOU?
