SECRETS TO NON-CONFORMITY

THERE IS NO COMFORT IN CONFORMITY
Speaking to some young students about "Secrets to Exam Success", I'm faced with a feeling of nostalgia because I remember how it was to be like them.
It got me thinking, about the definition of success and failure. They were all getting ready for a promotional and transitional exam. To them this exam would determine life and death. Looking at them, I can see fear in their eyes and an earnest determination to surmount that fear, I can't but wonder if society has redirected the minds of young ones to prioritize the wrong things.
Is getting an A in an exam propotional to success in life? Is being brilliant in any field of endeavour tantamount to satisfaction? Is a degree a guarantee for getting a good job? What really is worth dying for?
These questions bug my mind as the "future leaders" listen with rapt attention as I enunciate to them the "Secrets to Conformitiy"
Has your achievements achieved your dream?
Don't ever stop....
"I want to be accepted the way I am" ... is the cry of most young people today. What they don't realise is that everybody wants the best. Every boy wants to have the best girl that they can be proud of and brag with to their friends. Every girl wants the best man who has the best traits (funny, responsible, humane, decent, spontaneous, loving, faithful, hardworking, etc.) Every child longs for the best parents and every nation prays for the best leader.
No body wants you the way you are, but we will want you the best you are (can be). So here is a call for an increase in capacity and ability. What ever you are doing, seek to constantly improve yourself. In character, skill, relationship, communication, etc. Because your future is waiting for that better you and your wealth is waiting for that capable you.

Memors of a 12-year old...
It's always easier to stand at the sidelines and judge others.
It's always easier to tell other people that they are wrong, ugly, failures, etc.
It’s always easier to cast aspersions on your neighbour...
Bravery is self appraisal.
It takes courage to take risks.
Heck, it takes guts to live.
Live life in time and not hide in the shadows.
It’s way better to live and fail than to not have lived at all.
It’s better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.
So when someone empathises with you for a downtime in life,
Or throws righteous indignation at your face for presumed misdeeds
Just remember these words:
  1. In living you are way better than the next fellow
  2. It’s very risky not to take risks and
  3. Life is for the living not the spectators
