TRULY WEALTHY MEN MAY NOT HAVE MONEY!
Good morning,
If the worth of your relationships is money-based, you will easily be susceptible to fraud. Everyone in your life is not there for you to benefit from financially.
Growing up, I was privileged to meet and interact will great minds who bestowed their wisdom by communication. They never gave money to me but their experiences proved more valuable.
Presently, I maintain healthy value-based relationships with great minds who may not own Porsche cars or humongous mansions in different parts of the world, but they are so wealthy in their own right.
The richest man in the world is only that because he hordes his money. There are a lot of people who do not horde their money but invest in the lives of thousands of people daily. I have been privileged to meet them.
They do not care about what young people of this generation care about. Their focus has always been on equipping the next generation to be better than their own. Philanthropy and skill transfer is the norm of their daily living.
The amazing thing is that they are not all Christians. In fact, most of them are non-believers. Atheists, Muslims, Free-thinkers, etc. An acquaintance of mine is a beneficiary of such an individual. This friend (let's call him Adebayo) has three boys who he is struggling to take care of because he just lost his job. He is relying heavily on his wife's petty trading and it is eating him up.
The kids were stood outside the school gate as they were owing the fees for the past term. He had just be contacted to come and carry them. Before he would get to the school, he was later told that a man driving past, ordered that the crying kid be sent back into the school. The teachers informed the man that the kid and his two brothers were owing school fees. The man asked them to take them back to their class that he was going to take care of their school fees till they finish secondary school. The man true to his words, sent his PA with a cheque that covered their debt and fees for the entire school year. Adebayo tried to get the contact of the man to express his appreciation but he couldn't as the PA gave explicit instruction not to release any information.
I later found out that this man was a Muslim man. If you saw him, you wouldn't believe he had a dollar to his name. My findings shows that the man is fond of carrying out secretive acts of aid to people he believed deserved such aid. Adebayo is a christian. The man while a hardcore Muslim does not allow religious bigotry taint his heart from doing good. There are true angels in human form.
True Story!
I have witnessed the growing movement of young people who only honour men that are seemingly wealthy. To them it is a matter of appreciating what you desire. But there are a lot of men who have amazing principles, virtues and discipline that are worthy of emulation.
I know some short sighted people will now ask: who them epp? It is a tragedy that society values financial status to a good name. This wrong prerogative is what encourages foolish young people to pursue money at all cost. A lot of them eventually lose their personality in the quest for money. If you lose your soul for money, who really is going to enjoy that wealth.
There are lines that should not be crossed.
There are ways that should not be emulated.
There are people that should not be envied.
This write-up is in recognition of all men of integrity and value who strive consistently to affect and effect the world around them.
Men who may not have much money but are definitely wealthy.
God bless you all.
Please don't grow weary of doing what is good; for if you don’t give up, you will in due time reap the harvest.
