SHE SEES BEYOND HER FEARS BY JOY AJOKU

WISDOM IS PROFITABLE THAN UNNECESSARY EMOTIONS, THIS IS A STORY FROM A FRIEND
"My husband is a member of a country club here in Lagos. And the few times I followed him to go unwind at the club...I noticed there are female members there as well.
One in particular...my husband talks often about. Infact, his constant talks about her made me begin to take more than a passing look at her on several occasions and I know she is not better looking than myself in anyway...yet,my husband seemed to worship the ground she walks on.
I decided to put my 'woman feelings' in check and encouraged my husband to invite her over for dinner. She did honour the invitation and within an hour of being in her company ...I saw what my husband saw in her. And it is nothing physical at all...there is something so endearing about her simplicity towards life. And of course, her intellectual endowment.
Her presence was so refreshing that I found myself inviting her every now and then for family gatherings. She has also reciprocated. And today...she is a close friend of the family.
I have learned so much from her as well. Today,I have an interior decoration outfit...as a business. A passion that she helped me to embrace fully...due to her enthusiasm in the art. And eye for uncommon details in furnishing.
I am compelled to share this story,as an advice to the young ladies out there. It is immature to conclude that every woman that catches your husband's attention or admiration is a THREAT.
Recognize when such is purely out of respect for who the other woman is and when infatuation is talking. Some women have driven their men into 'uncomfortable silence' at home...with jealousy. Because 'Oga' doesn't know what he might say and get into madam's trouble.
The worst thing that can happen to any woman in marriage is when your husband begins to measure what he says to you...lest you make troubles. Such a man...you can never get an honest opinion about a situation from...again. He will rather tell an outsider!
Yet,the bedrock of any marital affair is candid communication ... where it doesn't favor you...sit up. And where it favors you...continue to improve.
Nothing good comes out of a marriage in which genuine opinions(concerns and fantasies alike) are suppressed...for peace to reign. Your man can't even share his 'silliness' with you...lest you accuse him of infidelity.
Do you know what most of such men will do instead? They go looking for a 'listening buddy' out there. And you know...a listening ear is also a shoulder to cry on.
Stop being childish about these things, please.
Sometimes you rob yourself of 'life changing' opportunities with immaturity.
Don't become so insecure that your man begins to mind your insecurity at the expense of issues that can strengthen your relationship."
