Judgment, preconceived notions, society adopted norms, ...... whichever you may call it is something we all should learn to avoid. Nobody has a claim on the authority of what is right. Look around you, the rules that some people died for in the past, are now OK. Whether it is:   - Female Bishops   - Slavery   - Class system - Inter-tribal marriages - Negotiation with terror organizations - Gay rights   - Female equality   e.t.c. It got me thinking, about the definition of success and failure. They were all getting ready for a promotional and transitional exam. To them this exam would determine life and death. Have you been lied to? Do you tell lies? While some may argue on the necessity of telling lies, I know from experience that it's so much easier to NOT tell lies. Wikipedia defines it as faithfulness or a devotion to a person, country, group, or cause. Understand what being loyal means. You must be willing to allow your own interests to take second place to be truly loyal to another person or cause. Loyalty is simply the act of putting someone or something else ahead of one's self. Be willing to sacrifice. Being loyal in a patriot sense, as in loyal to one's country, has placed millions in harm's way in wars throughout history. The people who serve in the modern military are loyal to their nation, its flag, and the purpose they serve for. Being loyal to a friend or your own family can also require sacrifice. Take time to look at the needs of whomever will have your loyalty. To take steps of loyalty, you need to recognize that it is a deliberate effort, and to be truly loyal to someone, you have to be willing to invest yourself, your time and energy in them. It's funny that I should actually have to write about this. But it seems people are very impressionable and easily swayed by the funniest things imaginable. It's actually mind boggling the pranks and setups people are susceptible to. So here are some pointers as we seemingly enter into the season of "foolish undertakings" "Man is naturally selfish". Nobody will go out of his way to get you a link to be rich with no strings attached. Whoever teaches on wealth and prosperity must be wealthy. It's got to work for you first. There is no such thing as "no strings attached". Even your family has strings attached to every favour they do for you. Whether you see it as such or not. Don't be fooled. There are no real "get-money-quick-without-work-schemes". Whatever scheme you or anybody comes up with will require work or a strong risk factor even when illegal. Hello Friends: I'll like to share with you today something I've noticed among some of our elders. It is a virtue. A lot of people these days see only what's wrong with our elders (and some of these insights are actually credible) but today I want to point out few virtues our elders display that we must thrive to imbibe early if we want to live long and enjoy our life. If your wife fails at something, you are to blame. The same way any leader is to blame if the people he is leading suffers any injury. If your husband fails at something, you are to blame. Being a father is one of the greatest pinnacles of my life. You've not known the meaning of life until you see a mini-you showering you with love untainted. Children do not see defects, mistakes, short comings, e.t.c. They love you as you are, with all your poverty and low self esteem. A child gives and gives and gives ..... and when you think this is the end they surprise you by giving yet again. You may ask what can a child possibly give? They came with nothing!
