JUDGMENTS CHANGE OVER TIME! WHY BOTHER JUDGING?
Judgment, preconceived notions, society adopted norms, ...... whichever you may call it is something we all should learn to avoid.
Nobody has a claim on the authority of what is right. Look around you, the rules that some people died for in the past, are now OK.
Whether it is:
- - Female Bishops
- - Slavery
- - Class system
- - Inter-tribal marriages
- - Negotiation with terror organizations
- - Gay rights
- - Female equality
e.t.c.
Whatever is your stand on the issues listed above, and much others like them, really doesn't matter as much as it matters what you'll feel about them within different circumstances and at different times.
The clothes people wear, the hairstyle, the language and others like such are dynamic and change periodically. That's is why you won't be caught wearing a clothe that was worn in the 1980's.
THINGS CHANGE!!!
With that in mind we should all be careful of how we "take decisions" and "put our feet down" and "object vehemently"........
Because our choices are affected by a lot of factors that often times we have no control of and other people as well have no control of. These factors include:
- - Time/Period of life
- - Environment you are born to
- - Cultural norms you grew under
- - Training and exposure you have experienced
- - Temperament
- - Trauma experienced or lack of it
- - Other factors that are basically inexplicable but hold true (like why a young man naturally has no desire for the opposite sex)
e.t.c.
Next time you feel like jumping up in religious fervor and make judgmental calls, try and remember that:
- - things are never as it seems
- - there more factors involved
- - the dilemma of change is one that is constant
DON'T BE A ROBOT!It's really simple, there's no one like you in all the world. Yes, I mean you. YOU. The person reading this now. There is no one like you. You are unique for you. Don't let anyone turn you into what you are not. As a wise man once said,
"THE YOU IN YOU IS THE YOU THAT YOU ARE AND THE YOU THAT YOU WILL ALWAYS BE".
Don't let anyone stereotype you or turn you into what you are not. Don't let the economy, situation or things change your core person. You are shaped by your experiences, so it's useless to regret them but you can decide what you'll do with who you have become.
THE CHOICE IS AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN YOURS!- E. I. Oputa
